Heather Aberg

Heather Aberg , LCSW, has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a master’s degree in Social Work from Denver University. She is certified in EMDR—Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing—and worked as a bereavement counselor at Mount Evans Home Health Care and Hospice for 20 years. She has had a private practice in clinical social work for the last 11 years. Heather started the LGBTQ+ group in 2018 and has a passion for raising voices of minorities and disenfranchised populations. In the past 6 years, Heather has pushed for recognition of the mental health issues in the mountain community and co-created Resilience1220. She served at Executive Director until December 2023.
